Robert's art career has been in hibernation for some time. He would not consider himself an artist until years later after his migration back from the corporate world to his roots in the Niagara Region where he was born and raised and where he
now paints full time.

Robert studied Interior Design, Visual Creative Art and Design, and upon graduation worked and excelled in the fields of
Interior Design, Visual Presentation and Graphic Arts all of which have had a profound effect in his paintings.

Robert's paintings are created with a draftsman like precision utilizing strong horizontal and vertical lines softened with
smooth curves for balance and harmony. He is drawn to the everyday, ordinary and easily ignorable things that most
people take for granted and invites the viewer into an uncluttered much simpler world void of chaos, clutter and
distractions.

Robert does not consider himself a realist painter but rather likes to describe his work as a more abstract representational
minimalism. The abstract particularly exposes itself with his subtle changes in perspective and scale as well as his
exaggerations  in colour, light and shadow, all hoping to capture a more defined intensity and lasting emotional memory.

There are no deep philosophies, or mystery behind his paintings, no hidden secrets or long winded interpretations. It's
very simple. Robert paints because he wants to and because he can.
